Fun fact: In the original writeup of this storyline, Gogo was going to be playing lawn darts with the kids, resulting in their unfortunate death. However, given that I can’t just kill characters every time their usefulness ends (not anymore, anyway), I decided to go another route. One death per story arc is more than enough, and it’s a writing habit I’m outgrowing. Plus, given that the third paragraph in this news post will also be about a children’s charity, it’d be a bit silly (to say the least) to pursue such a punchline.

The Otakuz With a Z Facebook page finally hit 100 likes last night, and I’d like to thank all of you for your continued support. It means a lot to me that you’re sharing my enjoyment in this labor of love. I love creating this strip and I’m glad you’re all enjoying it as well. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart and several other vital and semi-vital organs.

Speaking of vital organs, sometimes the vital organs of children don’t always work properly. When this happens, they must visit pediatric hospitals; sometimes for extended periods of time. When they do, it limits their abilities to do all the fun things kids are supposed to be doing. This is where the Child’s Play charity comes in, providing toys and games to these kids. They’re very close to the $3,000,000 mark for this year alone, but their job is never done. Head on over to the site and donate what you can. Every cent counts, and every donation helps get toys to kids who need them the most.
