So I mentioned in today’s comic blog that I’d like to take some time to talk about Kickstarter. While it is a bummer, I have a feeling that our fundraiser for the first OWAZ book won’t make it this time. Yeah, it sucks, but we’ll just have to wait a little bit longer. In a couple months, I’ll relaunch the KS with some new and improved rewards and it’ll give me more time to work on the book layout so that when it IS funded, I’ll be able to get the books to you more quickly. Still, I want to thank each and every one of you who contributed and hope that you all re-contribute when it’s relaunched.

In other new, Penny Arcade’s Kickstarter has almost reached its 450K goal (at the time of writing this, the total is $411,413), at which point they’ll be releasing official information regarding their webcomics reality show, Strip Search. In a nutshell, they’ll gather ten up-and-coming comic artists to live in a house in Seattle and test their artistic skills and their business smarts. Mike Krahulik and Jerry Holkins will be the judges, as well as a plethora of industry professionals. They’ll whittle down the group until there is only one person left. This person will win a cash prize as well as an office in their building, access to their merchandising and graphic design people (and access to their ping-pong table).

As you can no doubt tell, I am going to try my damnedest to get on this show, so spread this image around!
